Every year, Chess Education holds a number of junior chess tournaments, called the Junior Grand Prix Allegro. Played in tournament conditions, the Grand Prix is a great way for juniors to learn competition rules and etiquette, as well as put their skills into practice. All tounaments are limited to a maximum of sixty entrants, so book early to ensure entry.
There are seven rounds in the Grand Prix throughout the year. The dates are:

At the end of the year, each player's top four scores are added up, and podium place holders will be awarded with cash prizes.
Each year there will also be a number of transfer tournaments. Transfer is a fast paced, two player a side variation of chess that encourages attacking and team work. Entrants may register as a team of two, or may choose to be paired up on the day with another entrant.
The transfer tournament does not count towards the Grand Prix, however the top three teams will get to share in a cash prize! |
